The
choice of the raw materials is of primary importance to
CASPIEL, always seeking to offer high quality
products.
The leather used is mainly veal from Central Europe and
Spain (Catalonia), two well-known areas worldwide for the
leather they produce. Young-veal-skins from these areas
characterize by their clean texture and excellent quality.
Other skins used in CASPIEL handbags, shoes,
and small leather goods are ostrich, crocodile, and snake
skin.
Additionally, CASPIEL is a supporter of
totally ecological skins, increasingly presenting them in
selected lines of products. Ecological skins demand more
laborious treatment techniques, yet CASPIEL
has been able to incorporate them into its production processes
while still achieving that specially required quality.
Leathers used for footwear are smaller than the ones used
in handbags and other products in order to achieve better
adjustment and flexibility of the skin.
Regarding
the metal fittings, CASPIEL always uses
brass or zamac, in accordance with the latest European Union
environmental normative.
